Ingredients:
1/2 cup fresh, fine, or medium grind yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup of (gluten free) flour
2 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/8 teaspoon of sea salt
7 tablespoons almond milk or other nondairy milk
2 tablespoons agave syrup
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup diced banana
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup chopped apples
1/2 cup of chopped chocolate
powdered sugar (as desired) for serving
1. Sift the flour with a colander, I normally don't do this but I stopped being lazy about it and it definitely makes a difference in how easy the ingredients mix together. |
2. Cut up the chocolate bars into small little squares. |
3. Whisk all of the dry ingredients together. |
4. Whisk all of the wet ingredients together. |
