California Dreamin'

This past weekend I flew home to California to spend some time with my dear friends and family. I spent a few days in Santa Barbara where I went for undergrad and did a lot of eating (Freebirds nachos!), wine tasting, and moseying around. It was such an odd feeling being back because it too felt like home. Then I went to Bako to see my family and friends from home and ate more food and ice cream. Here are some pictures below from my trip!
So we have some unique names

Koi pond park that is down the street from my friend Richard's apartment. My friends and I would have picnics here in undergrad.

Had Challah french toast for the first time, so yummy!

Wine tasting!
We were the only 20 somethings there! So bourgeoisie ;)

I ate about a roll of salami that night

Yoga class or not this beautiful scenery calls for some meditation
A trip to S.B. calls for touristy bike riding

Lunch with Mami in my vintage Diane Von Furstenburg dress!

Being home always makes me realize how incredibly blessed I am to have the loving family and friends that I have. I showed my parents my "Fearless" tattoo that I got in Italy over the summer and described its significance of the word in my life and they were incredibly supportive and understanding. With everything I've done in my life: going away to school at 18, doing research in Paris, or deciding to go to grad school and live in NYC my family has been my biggest cheerleader and that right there makes our time together even sweeter. What are some of your favorite things to do whenever you go home?
