Setting the Perfect Bubble Bath {My Current Obsession!}

Lately I've been really into taking bubble baths every weekend to decompress and I've become just so enamored lately with how I can possibly make each bath better than the last. As I've grown in my bubble bath endeavors I've learned a few things about how to make them super relaxing, enjoyable, and well fun. Take a peek below:

1. Choose your favorite bubble bath scent. One of the many perks of setting my own bath is that I can add mixes of  different salts to address my body's needs. Sore muscles? Adding a bit of sea salt or Epson salt helps. Dry skin? Add natural oil. Stressed out? Try a calming scent like vanilla or (my personal fav) lavender.
Try: Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Dream Bath in lavender vanilla or my other favorite
Aveeno's Shower and Bath Oil in lavender.

2. Get a great exfoliating loofah. I just got this great exfoliating loofah and it just feels like it really helps scrub away dead skin as well as leaving my skin feeling refreshed.

3. Get a bathtub pillow. Buying one has up the ante on my bath experiences, trust me not having to rest my head on my hard tile or bathtub made it easy to lay back and relax; definitely worth the investment.

4. Grab your favorite read. As cliche as it sounds there's just something so relaxing about bringing a mag into the tub and mulling it over surrounded by bubbles. Take part in the cliche people, I'm telling you there's nothing quite like reading over the latest issue of Elle or Oprah Magazine while being surrounded by bubbles and soothing scents. However as I've learned the hard way - paper magazines and water don't mix so invest in a bathtub reading caddy. Check  this one out, it even holds a wine glass! Love!

5. Turn off the lights, light up the candles. Need I say more? Here are some of my favorite scents.

6. Set the music. Gawd this is starting to sound like the opening to an episode of Melrose Place but come on you can't just can't take a bath without humming along to your favorite tunes. I personally love listening to Michael Buble to get me in the relaxing mood. That or LMFAO of course. Hehe.

Now go and take a soothing bath, trust me honey you deserve it.

Braid Me Up!

After watching the People's Choice Awards last night, a few things became clear: I wish Ellen Degeneres and I were best friends, I need to get in touch with Jennifer Aniston's yoga instructor, and halo braids are all the rage. I personally love this hair trend because it can look soft and whimsical or sleek. Also now thanks to all of these wonderful hair tutorials, girls with long or short hair can sport this look.

Things That Make Me Happy

This week has been going well, last weekend I went to Philly to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was just a fan-ta-bulous time! Then I spent the rest of the weekend resting at home, going to the mall, and mass. I'm really looking forward to this Halloween celebration weekend because I'm going to be dressed as Britney Spears from the Baby One More Tim Video which should be epic. Anywhoos here are the things that are currently making me uber happy!

Taylor Swift's new album "Red" I'm loving every-single-song!

People always laugh at me when I say this but going to the Staten Island Mall makes me so happy. It's full of chain stores, unhealthy take out food, and women walking around in mini skirts and Uggs, I mean it feels like I'm home in southern California every time I'm there!

These "happy notes" from Anthropologie

Jessica's wedding dress, umm pink? Yes! Loving it!

My sassy new hair cut! I love Parlor Hair Salon! They always load me up on trashy magazines, chamomile tea, and give me massage while my hair is drying! If you mention my name they'll give you 10% off!

Glamoursly Red

Taylor Swift will be on the cover of Glamour magazine next week and she looks absolutely glam-bam! Taylor's new album "Red" is releasing October 22nd and her trajectory of singing about her wonderful and terrible (umm "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" can you say anthem for my love life at the moment...eek!) is definitely continuing with her fourth album. However this album will focus more on the "tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that [she's] experienced in the last two years.” She goes on to tell The Associated Press that "All those emotions spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that — in my mind all those emotions are red. There’s nothing in between. There’s nothing beige about any of those feelings.”

As some of you know I really admire Taylor's music and feel as if I've grown with her as an artist. As soon as I heard what Red was about, I couldn't wait to listen in because I went through that same toxicity in my own love life months ago. Taylor Swift if you somehow find this, you help me to be fearless every-single-day and congratulations on all of your success! I can't wait for "Red!"
